ANDY'S COMMUNITY CAFE
Project management, design and copywriting

St Andrew’s Church sits in the heart of the busy Goldsworth Park community in Woking, Surrey. The church was looking for creative marketing support around the launch of its community cafe, Andy’s.
This project included identifying the best ways to communicate new initiatives such as ‘Pay as you feel’, which enabled visitors to pay what they could afford rather than a set price for items and ‘Pay ahead’ which meant customers could pay for a future visitor to have a free meal in the café.
As additional project management support for the relaunch, I worked with the church team to develop design and branding collateral for Andy’s.
“As a reliable, organised and mature creative professional, Carys was brilliant to have alongside us on our relaunch,” said Rev. Kate Wyles, Vicar of St Andrew’s Church. “She delivered over and above to help us develop our new brand image and we’re thrilled with the result.”
Following early success of Andy’s community café, I also helped the St Andrew’s team to draft a compelling application for funding from the Diocese of Guildford.
“Carys’ excellent liaison and writing skills resulted in a successful funding application for a significant amount of money, which has made all the difference to us. I’d highly recommend her to organisations looking for marketing and communications expertise.”
